A New Kind of Veterinary Clinic

The Westgate Animal Clinic was founded upon the idea of building a practice that does more than just treat animals in need. Dr.Petersen challenged the typical operations of a veterinary clinic, and modernized it to encompass some necessary modifications. The Westgate Animal Clinic delivers more efficient doctor-patient interactions in an environment specifically designed to put your pet at ease. Our improved workflow allows for less time in the waiting room,  granting more face time with the doctor. Since you are the advocate for your pet, additional time with our doctors increases their ability to gain insight from you, thoroughly examine your pet, and answer any outstanding questions. Decreasing the amount of interactions your pet has with others in our office will help keep your pet focused and calm in an unfamiliar and anxious environment. Every aspect and service provided in our clinic has been designed, practiced, and perfected to make you and your pets trip to the vet as enjoyable as possible.

The Petersens have three dogs, Bella, Lucy, and Henry.

Dr. Petersen in an incredible veterinarian that both Lucy and Murphy are fortunate to receive care from. He has a very calm demeanor that comforts both my dogs and instantly puts them at ease in one of their least favorite environments. He is very patient and willing to address all of my questions during visits. His  empathetic and personable character, coupled with his thorough attention to detail are the reasons I continue to seek his care for my dogs. Any pet owner is lucky to have their pet receive care from Dr. Petersen.” Katelyn M.

This place is awesome. My former vet had retired and I was looking for a new place to go. This was in the neighborhood and when I had a sudden need to take my cat in, they were able to fit her in on very short notice. They listened to my concerns, were very gentle with my not exactly social cat and did their best to take care of her. They were also very reasonably priced. I’ve found my new family vet and will definitely recommend them to anyone I come in contact with.” – Angela C.

Dr. Fred and staff at Westgate Animal Clinic are terrific animal healthcare providers! Dr. Fred took time explaining my pooch’s problem and the surgical procedure, and he consulted with others to determine the best surgical approach. He did a great job with the surgery and followed up next day. Staff at the clinic are passionate about caring for animals and their humans! I highly recommend this clinic.” – Jodi W.

“Had a great experience at the Westgate Clinic today. Emma the ferret had some teeth pulled and polished. She was back to herself in no time and is doing well. Thanks to Dr. Jack and the helpful staff.” – Bruno W.

“I love this clinic! We have tried several places around where we have lived to find a decent vet and always just felt like a price tag to them. Here it feels like they genuinely care for your pets and completely take your concerns into consideration and actually listen! It shows that all the staff truly love what they do and really take the time to love on your animals and keep you in the loop. I could not ask for anything more and my only regret is not finding them sooner!” – Brianna M.
